goals parenting podcast Jan 12, 2021

Welcome to January and welcome to 2021 on The Parenting Clubhouse Podcast!

Today on the show I want to talk about parenting goals because it is the season for all things goal-oriented. It’s January. It’s the new year. And lots of us, if not most of us, have at least thought about if not actually taken steps and planned out goals for ourselves for the new year.

And because I’m here to support you in your own parenting journey, I want to talk about these goals you’ve set for yourself, especially as they relate to parenting.

If you’ve set out to accomplish a parenting goal (or again, any goal for that matter), I want to teach you how to actually keep that goal and crush that goal. And even if you aren’t setting a parenting goal for yourself right now, this episode will still be very usual for you because the tips I’m chatting about today apply to any type of goal, parenting or...

The Parenting Clubhouse Podcast Episode 76: Being Your Own Parent: Throwing Away that Perfect Parent Image

goals parenting podcast Sep 01, 2020

Hey and welcome back! Today’s episode is all about being comfortable in our own parenting skin. It’s about accepting who we are as parents and also accepting who we desire to be as parents. It’s about throwing away that so-called perfect image and being the parent that our family needs, and truthfully, who we need to be. So, today is about accepting the type of parent you’re striving to be and accepting where you currently may be… room for improvement and all.

And today is an incredibly exciting day because my doors are now OFFICIALLY open for virtual 1:1 behavioral consulting for families who live in Alabama. I’m so excited to be at this new place in my business, yet a very familiar place for me as a professional. I’m very excited to be able to serve families where they are at, to help their day-to-day activities run more smoothly simply by helping to improve behavior, and to be a...

Hi there! Welcome to part two of setting your parenting goals on The Parenting Clubhouse Podcast! In case you missed it, last week we talked all about the concept of setting parenting goals for ourselves. Why? Because if we desire and want to see real change in our lives, whether that be in our parenting style, in our homes, in how we feel about our parenting, with our child’s behavior, or any number of things, then setting parenting goals is the ticket to help us get to be that more positive parent, help us have a more joyful home, help us feel confident in our parenting, help us see improvements in our child’s behavior, or whatever outcome we are shooting for. Today, part two is the actual meat of setting parenting goals, it’s the how-to. We’re going to take that outcome that you desire, turn it into actionable steps, and turn it into a goal that will help lead you to that success. So, grab your notebook and...

goals parenting podcast Jun 23, 2020

Hello, hello! Today on The Parenting Clubhouse Podcast we are diving into the topic of parenting goals. Why? Because if we want to see real change in our parenting style, if we want to see real change in our homes, if we want to see real change in how we feel about our parenting, or if we want to see real change with our children’s behavior, we have to, and I mean HAVE to do something different in order to bring about that change. But we can’t just do something different here or there or every now and again. We have to be consistent with doing these things differently, and thus, setting goals for ourselves that we can actually accomplish which will in turn help us to see those lasting changes that we so desperately want. Whether you’re here to learn how to be a more positive parent or how to get your kid’s tantrums under control or to create a household that runs more smoothly or any other change for that...

Performance goals at work. Check.

Financial goals for your family. Check.

Relationship goals with your spouse. Check.

Health and fitness goals at home. Check.

If being a parent is one of the MOST IMPORTANT jobs we will ever have, why is it that we have never thought about having parenting goals?

Maybe you do! If that is the case, you are the upper hand to the rest of the world.

How is it that we have goals for everything else in our lives, yet we have never thought about setting goals for THE most important thing in our life?

I don’t think that I need to make the argument that parenting is important, that it’s no-joke. If you’re a parent, you are well aware of that fact.

I do feel...
